Account, billing and leaving
Account, billing and leaving
How paying for ProdBord works, how to stop, and what happens to your data when you do.
On this page
Free trial
Direct: your first subscription starts with a free trial. The length and the price that follows are shown before you add your card. Cancel before the trial ends and you won’t be charged. Each account gets one free trial.
Through Shopify: Shopify shows any free trial when you approve the charge.
Paying
Direct: you pay monthly by card through Stripe. ProdBord never sees your full card details. Use Manage billing in Settings to update your card, see invoices or cancel.
If a payment fails, Stripe tries again and you keep access for now. Update your card in Manage billing. If the payment still can’t be taken, the Production Board stops until it’s sorted, and your jobs are kept.
Through Shopify: ProdBord appears on your Shopify bill. Shopify handles payment.
Leaving (direct)
Open Settings and choose Leave under Account access. Then:
- you aren’t charged again;
- you keep full access until the end of the period you’ve paid for, or until your trial ends;
- after that, your workspace closes by itself and the owner is emailed.
Changed your mind? Choose Review or cancel leaving in Settings any time before the date. There are no refunds for time already paid.
If you cancel in Manage billing instead, your access still runs to the end of the paid period. After that, the workspace stays as it is but without access. If it has no active subscription for 30 days, it closes by itself; Home and Settings show the date beforehand.
Closed workspaces
A closed workspace is kept for 30 days. During that time, the owner can:
- reopen it from Home and carry on with the same jobs, boards and settings. You’ll need to start a new subscription (without a second free trial) and reconnect Etsy;
- delete it now; or
- start a fresh workspace instead. Nothing is copied from the closed one.
After 30 days, a closed workspace and its data are permanently deleted.
Deleting your data and your account
- Delete a job: choose Delete now on a completed or removed job.
- Delete a closed workspace: choose Delete now on the closed workspace.
- Delete your account: in Settings, under Account access. You’ll confirm your password first. If you’re the only owner of an active workspace, close it first.
- Delete everything now: ends your subscription straight away with no refund, closes the workspace you own and deletes your account in one step.
Stripe keeps its own invoice records, as it’s required to. See the privacy policy for what we keep and for how long.
Leaving (Shopify)
Uninstall ProdBord from your Shopify admin. Shopify stops billing for it, and ProdBord stops reading your orders and closes any open board windows.
Your ProdBord data is kept for now, so if you reinstall soon you carry on where you left off. Around 48 hours after you uninstall, Shopify asks ProdBord to erase your store’s data, and ProdBord deletes it.
Signing in and security (direct)
- Password: at least 12 characters. Reset it from the sign-in page if you forget it.
- Passkey: sign in with your fingerprint, face or device PIN instead of typing your password. Add one in Settings, under Sign-in & security.
- Two-step verification: optional. After your password, ProdBord asks for a 6-digit code from an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, 1Password or Authy.
- Recovery codes: when you turn on two-step verification you get ten single-use codes. Keep them somewhere safe; each one gets you in once without your phone.
- Devices: Settings lists where you’re signed in, and you can sign out of any of them.
Lost your phone? Sign in with your password and a recovery code, then remove the old passkey and make new recovery codes in Settings. If you’ve lost both your authenticator and your recovery codes, contact us at support@appfabrication.com and we’ll verify it’s you before removing two-step verification.
Signing in with Google, Microsoft or Apple isn’t available.
